Service temporarily unavailable. Technology upgrades underway. STAY TUNED!

In response to all the musicians out there who have asked us the same question: “Thanks for the Xray - but what did you think?”

Basic Plus Music Xray™ provides an additional level of analysis - a Metal Grade, in addition to the Basic Xray™ report’s Hit Grade and Color Grade.

NEW – You can now post this icon  next to your song title on MySpace and other social networking sites (see example)

The icon (and special code to paste into your page) comes with your report. When users roll over it with their mouse they are offered the opportunity to see your report. When they click on it they can view your song’s report. Talent scouts LOVE this feature and will be more likely to listen to your song when they see this icon.

The Metal Grade is the ONLY score in our service repertoire that is subjective and not based on objective and mathematical scoring techniques.

Platinum Blue has gathered a team of currently active and former industry A&R executives that listen to your music. These executives are on rotation; you cannot choose which executive will listen to and rank your music. We do guarantee however that it will be someone on our current roster (see below).

If the song sounds like a smash hit to the listening executive (independently of any of your other Platinum Blue scores) it will receive a Metal Grade ranking of Platinum. A solid hit sound will get a grade of Gold, a marginally good sounding song will receive a Silver grade. A song that probably isn’t going to be a hit based on its sound will get a grading of Bronze and a song with absolutely no hit potential according to the listening A&R executive will get a Metal Grade of Copper.

Platinum: Smash Hit Sound
Gold: Solid Hit Sound
Silver: Marginal Hit Sound
Bronze: Unlikely Hit Sound
Copper: No Hit Sound

Current roster of A&R Executives:

  • Ric Wake
  • Peter Swartling
  • Jeff Bova
  • Andrew Fiegenbaum

Disclaimer:

It is important to understand that Music Xray™ does NOT tell you if your song sounds and feels like a hit. A low score does not mean your song does not sound like a hit. It simply means that the production of the song that was tested would be seriously challenged to perform well in the market. Similarly, a good score alone does not mean the song will be a hit. It must also sound like a hit and be promoted effectively.
